The fact-finding mission to Germany for US Architects is part of the "Energy Efficiency - Made in Germany" initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and is organized by energiewaechter GmbH and the German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. in New York. Joining the fact-finding mission to Frankfurt and Darmstadt, will give US Architects the opportunity to learn about innovative German technologies and services in the field of energy efficient buildings and passive house. During a half-day conference and multiple site visits, you will have the chance to gain valuable insight into the German energy efficiency industry and connect with local industry experts and professionals. The trip targets US architects and is free to attend but participants have to cover their own travel costs from the US to Germany.

In recent years the Multi-Comfort House Student Contest has developed from a regional event aimed at architecture students to an international forum for anyone with an interest in architecture.

The task for 13th International Edition of the Multi-Comfort House Students Contest by Saint-Gobain ISOVER, in close collaboration with the Department of Architecture for the Municipality of Madrid, is the urban regeneration of a community within the perimeter of the Gran San Blas area of Madrid.

The contest is open to all students, regardless of their degree focus (architecture, engineering or other disciplines). Students may participate as individuals or in teams of 2.

The 2017 edition of the BIM Competition offers candidates the opportunity to reflect on the center city of the community of Saint-Prix. Young Architects Competitions YAC and Marlegno s.r.l. launch Castle Resort, an open architectural competition aiming at the landscape renewal of the area around the Castle off Roccamandolfi, in Southern Italy. The competition is in cooperation with the Italian State Property Agency – Italian Government, the Municipality of Roccamandolfi, Touring Club, Associazione Italiana Confindustria Alberghi, the University of Bologna. The internationally-renowned jury gathers, among the others, Eduardo Souto de Moura, Todd Saunders, Alain Laurens of  “La Cabane Perchée”. A total of € 20.000 in prize money will be awarded and winner projects will be published on international architecture and design platforms.

The International Mass Timber Conference is a leading conference and expo on the use of cross-laminated timber (CLT) and other mass timber in global design and construction and is one of the largest gatherings of CLT and mass timber experts in the world. The 2016 event drew 519 industry thought leaders and executives from 11 countries, and 56 exhibitors and 48 international speakers. Interest is high and the conference is expected to be even bigger in 2017.

Founded by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and the Canadian architect Raymond Moriyama, the $100,000 prize was created in 2014 to raise the international stature of the RAIC and the Canadian architectural profession, and to encourage Canadian architects to aspire to international excellence.
