The Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB), in partnership with the Urban95 initiative, announces the opening of registration and proposal submissions for the National Public Ideas Competition for Urban Furniture focused on Early Childhood in the City of Salvador. The competition will gather ideas from architecture and urban planning professionals from across Brazil.

Spain's Ministry of Public Works, through the Directorate General for Architecture, Housing, and Land, has launched an anonymous, jury-led competition for the curatorship and exhibition design of the Spanish Pavilion at the 2020 Venice Biennale.

The 8th edition of the Furniture Design Award (PREDIM) is an honor organized by the Mexican Association of Suppliers for the Wood and Furniture Industry (AMPIMM, A.C.) and the MEM Industrial expo, with the support of DI-INTEGRA and ArchDaily. The award is presented by industry specialists to students of industrial design, interior design, or architecture. It seeks to foster innovation and strengthen the connection between the student community and furniture manufacturing companies, contributing to both the development of the industry and the improvement of furniture quality nationwide.

The national public competition for the preliminary urban, landscape, and architectural design of the Apartadó River Parks – Stage 2 "Ciudad Do" seeks to transform the Apartadó River into the municipality's primary natural asset, establishing it as the articulating axis of urban planning and the focal point of physical interventions that will achieve: "...a living river... and alive in the people!"

GENfadu is an open call organized by the Communications Secretariat of the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism (FADU) at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). The initiative aims to recognize, showcase, and highlight the work of a generation of architect-educators within the faculty through a publication.

The call for the Architectural Preliminary Project and Curatorship Competition for the selection of the official Argentine entry to the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, known as “the Venice Biennale,” is open until November 4, 2019. The exhibition will take place from May 23 to November 29, 2020. The competition includes the curatorial proposal and the preliminary project through which Argentina seeks to offer the world a faithful reflection of its work and reflections, condensing the effort and thought generated within its borders.

The National Ideas Competition "Buenos Aires and the River: North Waterfront Park" has been open since October. Organized by the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism at the University of Buenos Aires, the competition aims to strengthen the relationship between the urban and natural environments through a comprehensive project that revitalizes and elevates the 7.6-kilometer stretch of the city's northern coastline.

The Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM), through its MATCOAM Building department, is organizing the first edition of the MATCOAM Construction Week, which will take place from November 2 to 5, 2022, at the COAM headquarters, located at 63 Hortaleza Street, Madrid. This new trade fair focuses on innovation and sustainability. High-quality exhibition spaces, a high-level congress, and a prime location in the heart of the city are the main draws of this new construction event.
