Closing: Utopia + Design

    The closing of the Utopía + Proyecta exhibition will take place on Wednesday, January 23, at Espacio CDMX (Av de los Compositores 4, Bosque de Chapultepec II Secc, 11100, CDMX). The event will feature a roundtable discussion with Silvestre Estudio, Estudio MMX, C Cúbica Arquitectos, and Vertebral, moderated by exhibition curator Iñaki Herranz. This will be followed by the announcement of the selected Utopía project and the presentation of the México Territorio Creativo medal.

    Open Call: Imagining Machines

    Our second open call borrows its title from Stevphen Shukaitis’s book, Imaginal Machines, to address productive structures that operate through radical and collective imagination. This mechanism is activated by social self-determination and joint action—the result of the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and techniques that have shaped us as a society.

    6th Vertical Gardens Masterclass

    This masterclass is divided into a theoretical session and a practical workshop focused on vertical gardens, combined with outdoor ornamental plants. Upon completion, one of the plant totems created during the session will be raffled off among the attendees.

    International Seminar: Colors That Do Good

    Architects, designers, decorators, and anyone interested in learning more about the impact of color will gather this Wednesday, September 4, at the Hotel Santiago (formerly Hyatt) for the "Colors That Do Good" International Seminar, organized by Ceresita and the Universidad del Desarrollo (Faculty of Architecture). The experience of color as a tool for transforming spaces and people will be one of the topics addressed at the event, featuring insights from prominent professionals such as Pablo Allard, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Art at UDD, and American author and speaker Fawn Chang, a specialist in "color and emotions" and Feng Shui.

    BIM On 2019

    1st South American Urban Parks Congress

    Congreso Parques is an international congress organized in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Province of Salta and the organization Parques de México. This event will bring together public officials, technicians, academics, students, housing developers, civil society organizations, and equipment suppliers to elevate the discourse on public space in our communities and boost the urban park and recreation industry in Latin America. Over the course of three days, an attendance of 1,200 people is expected. The program will feature keynote addresses, over 30 educational sessions, 10 workshops, and a trade show with more than 50 industry companies, featuring over 100 speakers from more than 15 countries.

    How to survive as an independent architect?

    As part of the 2019 Chile Architecture Biennale, Feria Libre, the panel "How to Survive as an Independent Architect" will take place on October 10 at 2:00 PM. Organized by the Young Architects Committee of the College of Architects, the discussion will address how to work independently, survive, and maintain the necessary balance to develop an emerging practice.

    RCR IV International Scenography Workshop

    Scenography creates ephemeral spaces that, due to their short lifespan, must express an intention or an idea without room for doubt. Ultimately, space expresses a way of understanding a human story.

    First symmetry

    Primera Simetría is the second solo exhibition by Raisa Bosich. Her first show, also held at Galería NAC, was part of the gallery’s inaugural 2015 exhibition cycle, which featured the first group of artists still represented by the gallery today. The exhibition opens on June 5 and will be on view through June 29.

    Urban Reflections

      We are beginning the year with an engaging lecture featuring Juan Miró of Miró Rivera Architects, visiting from Austin, TX. Together with architect Alejandro Ibarra Aragón of Ibarra Aragón Arquitectura SC, they are developing a series of projects in Monterrey that will transform key areas of the city center.
