Last March, at the Franz Mayer Museum in Mexico City, a designer and three architects from Mexico, Italy, and Chile discussed marketing in architecture during MEXTROPOLI 2019, Latin America's largest architecture and urbanism festival.

The LUB is a research and teaching center at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, affiliated with the Department of Urbanism. Founded in 1969 under the initiative of Manuel de Solà-Morales, it brought together professors J. Busquets, A. Font, M. Domingo, and J.L. Gómez Ordóñez at the Barcelona School of Architecture. Since then, generations of students have participated in the Laboratory's initiatives, and many faculty members have conducted their research there. The continuity of the Research Group helps architects become more aware of the urban impact of their work.

Adpprentice has launched a new academic-professional bridge program for recent graduates, in which participants are integrated into a design team at an internationally renowned architecture firm. Participants join at a level typically reserved for senior architects or even firm principals. They will gain full-time professional experience, actively participating in the design processes required to execute a real project, from its theoretical conception to the production of presentation materials meeting international standards.

Presentation of the XXI Architecture and Urbanism Biennial catalog. This five-booklet publication collectively includes the curatorial narrative, a record of activities in the Barrio Franklin, photographs of the four cities where the event will take place, conversations with Andrés Jaque and Enrique Walker, an interview with current National Prize recipient Miguel Lawner, interviews with international guests, and the results of the various open calls.

Its most iconic buildings include Lever House, Willis Tower, and the world's tallest building: Burj Khalifa (Dubai). The exhibition seeks to capture the close collaboration between engineers, architects, and artists that has produced engineering solutions to address the most complex contemporary design challenges | Exhibition on view until June 9, 2019.

Congreso Parques is an international congress organized in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Province of Salta and the organization Parques de México. This event will bring together public officials, technicians, academics, students, housing developers, civil society organizations, and equipment suppliers to elevate the discourse on public space in our communities and boost the urban park and recreation industry in Latin America. Over the course of three days, an attendance of 1,200 people is expected. The program will feature keynote addresses, over 30 educational sessions, 10 workshops, and a trade show with more than 50 industry companies, featuring over 100 speakers from more than 15 countries.

La Ruta Solar is organizing the third edition of Expo Construye Solar in Chile, a project in which various universities across the country present full-scale prototypes of sustainable social housing to promote environmental awareness.

DIMENSIÓN, the Festival of the Built Environment, is a two-day event featuring interactive workshops and keynote lectures by renowned international speakers who will share their knowledge and experience to support the professional development of the real estate industry. Architecture, like any discipline, develops its theory through words; yet, it is equally capable of thinking in images. When Renaissance humanists began to set forth their knowledge of the art of building in treatises, they tended to combine words and illustrations. In fact, some of the most celebrated treatises resemble visual atlases more than written volumes. But how can an image develop a theory? The theoretical fertility of the image emerges, almost by surprise, if we replace the modern conception of "theory" with the genuine meaning of the Greek term theoria: the act of "contemplation" and "speculation," of developing a "vision."
