The LAGI 2019 competition offers designers and creatives the opportunity to re-imagine energy infrastructure and demonstrate the beauty of a 100% renewable world.

To celebrate the 12th anniversary of Radio Arquitectura, we have organized a trip to the wonderful state of Oaxaca. The itinerary includes an architectural tour featuring visits to the Museo Textil de Artesanos Arquitectos, the Teotitlán del Valle Community Cultural Center designed by PRODUCTORA, and the San Pablo Cultural Center by Taller de Arquitectura Mauricio Rocha + Gabriela Carrillo, among other projects. In addition, we will host a celebration at Expendio Tradición, designed by the studio Farca + Grappin. This event will take place on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, departing from Mexico City.

Within the framework of the Mathias Goeritz Extraordinary Chair and the centenary of the educational project known in Europe as the Bauhaus, the Taller Nómada (Nomadic Workshop) emerges. It is a space for producing creative experiences that draws on the contributions and strategies of the school's masters, as well as the 40-year teaching legacy of Mathias Goeritz. This talk will outline the starting points for the workshop's creation, providing a historical overview that contextualizes the various influences on contemporary art and architecture education.

Uusi Kansallinen (in English: the New National) is a two-stage, open ideas architecture competition for the design of an Annex to the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki. The competition has been jointly organized by the Finnish Heritage Agency, the National Museum of Finland and Senate Properties.

The Norman Foster Foundation is selecting ten students to receive a scholarship for the upcoming On Cities workshop, to be held at the Norman Foster Foundation headquarters in Madrid, Spain, from May 27 to 31, 2019.

The workshop aims to develop concepts of space and the city through an interdisciplinary bibliography, focusing on the poems of João Cabral de Melo Neto (O cão sem plumas) and the narratives of Maria de Lourdes Teixeira (Rua Augusta), João Antônio (Malagueta, Perus e Bacanaço), and Patrícia Galvão (Parque Industrial). These four writers turn their attention to the city, engaging with urban-architectural space through the perspective of the walker who, in some way, modifies these spaces. By exploring different ways of narrating the city, the sessions seek to awaken participants' awareness of the elements that shape it, and how the subject—this body in motion—interacts with them.

As part of its 2019 edition, Expo Lighting America is preparing to foster professional development in the lighting sector. To that end, the event—taking place March 5–7—will feature an educational program of conferences and workshops led by industry-leading brands, light artists, and advocates of lighting-related technologies.

This workshop is not only a great opportunity for professionals and students from various fields interested in Technical Assistance for Social Interest Housing (ATHIS), but it is also the first in a series of workshops across several states aimed at expanding the ATHIS Network, which began in São Paulo with the "Vivência em ATHIS para Melhorias Habitacionais" course. This network seeks to promote this practice, facilitate information exchange, and provide support to those involved through the "Arquiteto de Família" (Family Architect) methodology.
