As part of the Cities Platform developed by the School of Architecture, Art and Design at Tec de Monterrey, the first edition of the C_Lab Dialogues "City, Education, and Culture" will be held at the Monterrey Campus. This event will feature urban planning experts in a conversation about the role of universities in building inclusive and sustainable cities.

Starting with the landmark exhibition in 2014, Built by Women has offered the opportunity to demonstrate the breadth of achievement in the building industry by women at the highest levels.

Women are underrepresented in the building professions: architecture (15–18%), engineering (4.5–13.7%), and construction (2.6%). Built by Women’s goal is to change this. Increasing the number of women in science, technology, engineering, architecture and mathematics is critical to our country’s ability to compete globally. 

The purpose of this competition is to recognize the significant but often overlooked work of women architects, landscape architects, urban designers, engineers, contractors, and developers in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Madanfo Project and Radefoundation announce a call for entries for the "Timeabu Kindergarten" Architecture Competition. The competition aims to create a place where the youngest children of Timeabu can take classes.

The competition is open to candidates both students of professionals of architecture, design, engineering, or people involved to design or construction projects, from all around the world.

In 2016, then-mayor of São Paulo João Doria announced a renovation project for Largo do Arouche, dubbed "Little Paris." The name refers to the square's French-inspired urban design and seeks to erase the memory of what can be considered one of the city's first LGBT+ territories. A revolutionary alternative of high social impact that promises to change urban living is gaining ground. Known as Public Access Lagoons (PAL), an innovative concept developed and patented by the multinational water innovation company, Crystal Lagoons, it will bring beach life projects to the heart of large cities, with white sand beaches and monumental crystalline lagoons, in which people can swim and practice water sports in. With the capacity to receive more than one million visits a year, these large bodies of water can incorporate cultural and entertainment centers and amenities, easily accessed via ticketed entry or, alternatively, can be enjoyed free of charge from the contemplation areas.

On the occasion of the 100 Years of (Greater) Berlin anniversary, Berlin 2020 gGmbH, an organization of the Architekten- und Ingenieur-Verein zu Berlin e.V. (AIV), is launching an open-call initiative for an international urban design ideas competition. Berlin-Brandenburg 2070 aims to spur a broad social debate on the future of the Berlin-Brandenburg region. The competition asks architects, urban planners and landscape architects to respond to the interdisciplinary challenges facing the region in the future. The competition is focused on urban development issues common to both the city of Berlin and the state of Brandenburg. So that the design proposals fully take into account the challenges associated with sustainable metropolitan growth, the design ideas competition seeks to promote cooperation between the various experts and their fields. The international jury comprises the following members: Brigitte Bundesen Svarre, B.V. Prof. Ir. J.M.J. Jo Coenen Beheer, Prof. Werner Durth, Prof. Hans Kollhoff, Prof. Arno Lederer, Prof. Cornelia Müller, Reiner Nagel, Prof. Dr. med. Oliver Schwedes, Prof. Miroslav Sik. ABC | MONZA 2019 is an international architectural ideas competition in the time of Digital Transformation.
