This study presents a rich field of intersections between the modern radical avant-garde—before and after the Situationist International—and social architecture projects centered on the lifestyles of Roma, southern migrants, and the urban lumpenproletariat. These are the very sites where various flamenco heterodoxies emerge, fostering new forms of habitability, symbolic production, and the reinvention of audiences, spaces, and places.
Designing well, creating beautiful buildings as well as boosting revenue and making your firm profitable rank highly among the goals of architects around the world today. What are the most effective tools architects need to achieve those goals? At a recent Technology and Architecture panel, successful architects discussed answers to that very question. When you watch this panel discussion, recorded live at the prestigious Pritzker Military Museum and Library, you will hear inspiring approaches to design, coordination and project management - rooted in BIM and enabled by the design flexibility found in ARCHICAD.

While the first issue of VAD. veredes, arquitectura y divulgación focused on "the beginnings"—those origins and principles that provide, tangibly or symbolically, what seeks to exist—this issue aims to broadly explore the parameters belonging to those origins.

Invite the adventurous tourist to stay by creating optimal conditions in design, functionality, pragmatism, durability, and sustainability. The overall design of the Tren a las Nubes Adventure Camp must be sensitive to the surrounding context, ensuring a harmonious coexistence that integrates the proposal into the monumental structure.
A room of audience erupts into a fit of giggles as a comical tramp with a short mustache, wearing a suit and tall hat slips on a banana peel. The couple embrace as the man makes her stand on the railing of the ship, grabs her arms and extends them out. "I'm flying" she says, as people swoon in unison over their romantic harmony and impending tragedy.
The Graduate Program in Urban Design is focused on creating new, equitable, beautiful, and sustainable forms and technologies for the city and urban life. Committed to both experiment and amelioration, the two-semester program focuses, each year, on a New York City site and, after a research visit, on design of a city in a demanding environment abroad. We believe trans-disciplinary designers in general and urban designers in particular are in an ideal position to positively contribute to re-envisioning a series of global urban realities in crisis. Through cultural, technological, environmental, and social engagement, we can harvest a newly found design adroitness to address the problems that render our cities less just, less plural, less safe, unproductive, and environmentally deficient. The Urban Design program seeks emergent urban narratives that can guide design through the aforementioned surplus of practices, orbiting epistemes, and technologies addressing the city.

Chicago presents itself as a broad-shouldered, cold-surfaced, and vascular city plopped in the heart of the American Midwest. All seemingly brought back into scale by its various public transportation and infrastructural systems. Within the confines of the crevasses of the bustling metropolis goes the unseen networks; whether they be physical, non-physical, or emotional habits that the new generation of live/workforce is tuned to.
Digital utopia has resulted in a drastic decline in reading culture, as a result public library are at a critical juncture. Due to excessive use of internet and digital devices the number of readers is drastically declining in public libraries. it's not just reading culture that is at stake, as the readers play a more active and involved role in the community, the decline in reading population parallels with a greater retreat from participation in civic, culture and social life.

nternational Ideas and Design Project Competition for Labor, Peace and Democracy Memorial Square and Place
On 10 October 2015, Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (CPTUT / DİSK), Confederation of Public Employees’ Trade Unions (CPETU / KESK), Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (UCTEA / TMMOB) and Turkish Medical Association (TMA / TTB) called a meeting for a Labor, Peace and Democracy in Ankara. Thousands of people across Turkey met at Ankara Train Station. 103 citizens lost their lives in the two terrorist bombings that materialized right after the march started, hundreds were injured and thousands were stayed alive by minutes only. This attack, the bloodiest terrorist attack in the history of the Turkish Republic, has gone down in history as a crime against humanity; and the intent of the massacre, embodying its time and space, inflicted a deep wound on public conscience.
Humans and technology today form an inseparable link that have profound implications for Earth’s ecosystems – leading to the debate for a new era: the Anthropologic. In recent years, the transition from analog to digital architecture has materialized through increasing availability of novel software and new methods in digital architecture fabrication – tooling. The cognitive and digital turn implies ubiquitous computing, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and material intelligence, but to mention a few. The resulting design strategies overwhelm our discipline of architecture, encouraging a re-thinking of architecture, the architect’s role and responsibility, as well as architectural education. The development of digital technologies is compounding the need to develop ethics for this new technological state – shifting computer architecture from its focus on technology to a focus on humans.
