Construction practices across the world, as well as the types and uses of building materials, have been identified as key factors that impact global warming. Studies have shown that the building sector will play a central role in achieving the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) CO2 emissions reduction targets for 2030 and net zero CO2 emissions by 2050.

The construction sector's support for the achievement of these targets must focus on sustainable construction, which entails environmentally-friendly structures that consume less energy and have smaller or even net zero carbon footprints.

Green buildings are structures that, in their design, construction or operation, reduce or eliminate negative impacts on our climate and natural environment. They preserve precious natural resources and improve quality of life.

On Monday, October 24, at 7:00 PM, the book Arquitetura da CARPE by architect Geraldo Angelo Silva will be launched. The book presents a wealth of previously unpublished material on the history of CARPE.

MENTES was founded in 2020 with the mission of fostering a sense of community and expanding interpersonal relationships under the direction of Mexican architect Lorenza Sierra. Its philosophy is centered on the idea that every mind is a world of its own, and that world deserves to be shared. The project seeks to develop critical thinking by sparking curiosity in its audience and raising awareness of tools that inform decision-making and new experiences, without being limited by conventional ideals.

What impact can buildings have on society and the environment? Adopting a comprehensive approach to sustainability when conceptualizing buildings is essential to fostering sustainable social, environmental, and economic development.

The exhibition by architect and academic Rubén Muñoz, titled "Light, Form, Act, and Symbol," presents a series of models alongside a catalog featuring three built works and three recent projects from his architectural practice. The exhibition seeks to enrich professional practice with reflections from the doctoral thesis that gives the exhibition its name.

The Ciudades Cómo Vamos Forum is a space for discovery and discussion regarding the present and future of cities, promoted by Lima Cómo Vamos and Ciudades Cómo Vamos. It aims to share approaches, evidence, and proposals concerning the country's cities, and to facilitate the sharing of multi-stakeholder efforts aimed at improving urban areas in Peru.

Alberto Cruz’s drawings are the clearest manifestation of his radical ideals regarding education and the colorful aesthetic he also captured in his architectural work. He documented his capacity for observation—in both line and word—across more than two thousand notebooks and various drawing formats.
