The International Urban Project Award 2025 is now open for submissions!

Since 2003, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has been utilizing existing resources in schools to nurture young talents in the fields of arts and design. In addition to implementing the ''MOE Program in Human Resource Development for Colleges of Arts and Design'' , the MOE, since 2005, has initiated the ''MOE Scholarship Program for Overseas Study in Arts and Design'' as well as the ''MOE Award Incentive Program'' to encourage college students to participate in international arts and design competitions.

In 2025, InfraVision's theme of focus is 'Cities of Tomorrow: Reimagining Urban Infrastructure'. The Think Tank wishes to organize a student-centered competition inspired by the theme 'The City as a Network'.

The cultural building complex will consist of a Library Part, an Event Part and a common Entrance Hall with a total floor area of approx. 20,000 m2. The competition site area is 1,34 ha.

Each month, Friends of Residential Treasures Los Angeles (FORT: LA) curates a new self-guided trail, inviting Angelenos to explore the city’s rich architectural heritage. These immersive experiences highlight significant homes, hidden gems, and the designers who have shaped Los Angeles' built environment.

'Migrating Modernism. The architecture of Harry Seidler' presents the extraordinary personal history and work of the leading modern architect Harry Seidler (1923, Vienna–2006, Sydney), with a particular focus on the artists he worked with and commissioned. The exhibition will feature artists who collaborated on projects with Seidler such as Josef Albers, Alexander Calder, Helen Frankenthaler, Frank Stella, Lin Utzon and Sol LeWitt, as well as the famed Italian structural engineer Pier Luigi Nervi.

The Festival des Architectures Vives 2025 will take place from June 10-15, 2025, in Montpellier, France, with free admission from 9am to 7pm (2pm to 7pm on June 10th).

The Master's Programme on Sustainable Cities blends hands-on experience with academic insights from the Norman Foster Foundation's global network of experts. Co-directed by Norman Foster, President of the Foundation, and Professor Kent Larson, Director of the City Science Group at MIT Media Lab, the programme places students at the forefront of urban innovation. Each year, students immerse themselves in three pilot cities, engaging directly with local planners and managers to address urgent urban challenges.

Following the success of this year's pilot cities in Africa, the 2026 edition of the programme expands its geographical horizons to span three continents: Asia, Europe and Latin America. The pilot cities will be announced in the upcoming months.

Nara Roesler Rio de Janeiro is pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Logo as sombras desaparecem” on April 29, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The exhibition features recent and previously unseen works by Swiss artist Philippe Decrauzat (b. 1974, Lausanne), a leading figure in the new generation of optical and kinetic art. Buildner, in partnership with Collective Action for Culture (C.A.C), the Municipality of Peja, and the Ministry of Culture of Kosovo, has released the results of the Peja Culture Pavilion competition – an international architecture competition inviting architects and designers to reimagine a historically significant site in the heart of Peja, Kosovo.

The competition sought innovative and respectful design proposals that would revitalize a neglected urban square centered around a 15th-century water fountain. Entrants were asked to integrate this cultural heritage element into a multifunctional pavilion that could serve as a space for performance, reflection, gathering, and celebration.

A seminar analyzing the legacy of the Bauhaus and modern design in Brazil will be held at MAM Rio, featuring Brazilian and international experts.

Architect and philosopher Valpírio Gianni Monteiro will be at the Instituto Ling this May to lead the course Infinito Regresso: tradição e ruptura na arquitetura e no design. The course will consist of three sessions, held on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on May 8, 15, and 22, providing a broad overview of the key schools and cultural trends that have shaped architecture and design from the 20th century to the present day.
