The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID), in collaboration with General Assembly and local institutions and businesses, presents eight weeks of free education classes on the Flatiron South Public Plaza.

The "Modern Architecture in São Paulo" course is offering special editions in July and August dedicated exclusively to Lina Bo Bardi. The sessions will provide historical-critical theoretical approaches to the architect's work, in addition to guided tours of two projects: MASP and SESC Pompéia. During these visits, the architecture will be experienced and discussed in detail on-site.

Now in its second edition, this event aims to highlight the work of women architects in shaping the built environment, their participation in creative markets, and their role as drivers of economies linked to design, architecture, and innovation.

The Núcleo da Madeira, with the support of the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP), will host the event "Innovative Ideas for the Timber Construction Chain" from June 10 to 12. The program features several lecture and debate series divided into five modules. The objective is to provide resources to accelerate the approval and acceptance processes for timber as a technologically advanced material.

The Art History course (covering architecture, photography, painting, music, and cinema) is now in its third module. This month's sessions will explore the relationship between art and psychoanalysis. We have invited researchers in these fields and specialists in the artists, architects, and works to be discussed. The modules are not sequential and may be taken individually.

The NCD (Núcleo Catarinense de Decoração) celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2019. To mark the occasion, the organization is bringing the NCD Summit to Santa Catarina—a full day of lectures covering architecture, the luxury market, management, digital marketing, smart cities, and interior design trends. The event, which features eight lectures, will take place at CentroSul in Florianópolis on September 2nd. On the 14th, the IAB-RJ headquarters hosted the launch of the new season of courses for its continuing education program, IAB Compartilha. The event was attended by the program's 19 instructors, as well as students and professionals interested in the proposed topics. Building on the educational initiatives resumed in 2016, the 2019 edition offers a wide range of courses designed to share the expertise of professionals who are leaders in the various fields that make up the broad spectrum of architecture and urbanism. This edition of the Architectural Culture Lecture Series [CCCA] explores various approaches to architecture and the city through an understanding of the floor plan. Graphic representation is an indispensable instrument in the discipline, and the floor plan, as the quintessential architectural tool, not only represents the project's concept but also manifests a discourse—a vision of the specific context in which the work is framed. History, economy, and society are all captured within it.
