Jonite offers contemporary engineered stonework solutions that merge natural aesthetics with high-performance functionality for modern architectural and landscape designs. Jonite's trench grates were selected for the KOKO Hills residential development in Hong Kong.
Nestled in the hillsides of Kowloon East, KOKO Hills is a residential enclave designed for young families, which offers a calm setting within reach of the city. The development is centred around Club KOKO, a communal hub with landscaped terraces, tiered gardens, and a programme that flows through architectural forms and integrates natural textures.
To maintain visual harmony throughout the landscaped environment, the architects collaborated with CFLink—Jonite’s exclusive distributor in Hong Kong—to develop custom grating solutions. Granite grey longitudinal trench grates were selected for their clean, linear profile, complementing both the architectural language of the development and the surrounding natural terrain.
Beyond aesthetics, the grates were engineered to meet the performance requirements of heavily used communal areas. Designed for heavy-duty loads, they provide durable, long-term functionality while maintaining consistency with the overall design rhythm.
