Bracketless Sunshades & Wall Screens at Albany Housing | BŌK Modern

BŌK Modern designs and fabricates architectural metal systems that blend aesthetic innovation with functional performance, including sunshades, wall screens, guardrails, and canopies. Bracketless sunshades and corrugated wall screens from BŌK Modern were used in the Albany Housing development, a multi-building residential project located in Albany, California.

The Albany Housing complex is a contemporary multi-family development that spans several street-facing facades on Monroe and Jackson Streets. Its architecture emphasizes clean lines, layered textures, and a sense of openness designed to integrate with the urban fabric of the neighborhood. Key elements include deeply recessed windows, angular volumes, and thoughtfully modulated building forms to enhance street presence and visual interest.

BŌK Modern’s bracketless sunshades were installed above prominent building entries, offering passive solar protection while contributing to the building’s modern profile. Custom corrugated wall screens were used to articulate the facade and add dimensional contrast along key elevations. To ease the installation process, BŌK provided precise fabrication templates, eliminating the need for on-site welding and ensuring a seamless, consistent finish across the project.
