Custom Ceiling for Valhøj School | DAMPA

DAMPA® is a Danish company specialised in the development and production of acoustic steel and aluminium ceilings, as well as acoustic wall panels for the building industry, with sales exclusively in the European market.

The redevelopment of Valhøj School involved transforming dark rooms within the existing building into lighter, open and vivid learning environments with minimal structural changes. The redesign emphasizes openness and interdisciplinary interaction, while at the same time respecting the building’s original architecture.

The contribution to Valhøj is twofold: The DAMPA® 300 ceiling panels, covering more than 850 m2, improve both the functionality and aesthetics of the learning environment: they establish pleasant acoustics that support the intelligibility in the rooms, thereby promoting the learning process as well as the daily wellbeing of Valhøj’s employees and pupils; and they present very visually elegant, linear lines.
