EPDM Roofing Membrane at The Etihad Museum | Elevate EMEA

Elevate has 40 years of experience in roofing solutions that ensure performance and protect communities. Elevate's Roofing Membrane - UltraPly™ TPO was used to waterproof the Etihad Museum in Dubai, designed by Moriyama & Teshima Architects.

The Etihad Museum in Dubai opened its doors in January 2017. It houses permanent and temporary exhibitions on the history of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and its people. The entrance of the building was designed in the shape of a manuscript, with parabolic curves representing the parchment where the signing of the UAE’s constitution took place in 1971. Elevate’s UltraPly TPO system was chosen to ensure the watertightness of the Etihad Museum’s roof. About 6,000 m² of white UltraPly TPO membrane were mechanically attached over mineral wool.

The UltraPly TPO roofing system provides outstanding performance in the dry and high-temperature climate of Dubai thanks to its excellent UV and ozone resistance. In addition, its outstanding reflectivity contributes to improving the energy efficiency of buildings: the top layer reflects the sunlight before it is absorbed and converted into heat radiation.
