Custom Chaleur Sauna in a Private Garden in Laren | Alpha Wellness Sensations

Alpha Wellness Sensations is a Belgian company that provides furniture for wellness facilities. The company specializes in appliance manufacturing, such as saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs. They also offer options to join the process as a delivery, installation, and maintenance provider, or even from the beginning, at the design stage with their Alpha Design branch for custom projects.

Chaleur sauna and dressing room, facade

The Chaleur sauna at Laren, in the Netherlands. features two joint custom-made spaces by Alpha Wellness Sensations: the main chaleur room and its dressing room, both of which view the garden of the private property where they integrate into an existing thatched-roof building, complementing the other wellness facilities in the property: a pool and a spa.

The sauna sports a panoramic view of the large grass garden and its forestry beyond, through its ceiling-high crystal window panes. The facade of the building, covered in dark wooden cladding, contrasts with the light cedar furnishings of the sauna, visible from the garden through the panoramic windows.

The Chaleur sauna is accessed through the changing room, with custom-made interior finishes and benches made in ayous profiles and oiled in white. Lightened by four soft recessed spotlights, it welcomes incoming guests as a transition space with a discreet minibar. Separated with a partition wall that also conceals the dressing room from the garden sight, the Chaleur sauna features chaleur-style benches set against the salt stone wall with indirect lighting at the back, facing the window.

The salt stone wall, combined with the salt nebulizer, can transform the sauna into a salt sauna. Unlike the dressing room, the sauna features all-cedar furnishings and furniture, oiled in white.

On the partition wall, two infrared heaters align with the benches, and, on the wooden ceiling, a series of LED RGB lights resemble a starry night. These features, along with the Alpha Blackwall 9 kW ovens behind the benches, speakers, and black sauna set, are intended to cover all potential requirements of guests during their stay inside the sauna.

Both rooms have been custom-made and manufactured by Alpha Wellness Sensations: the sauna departs from the Chaleur Combi model, adapted to the site in Laren. The Chaleur Combi is a combination of sauna and infrared technology meant for outdoors, where the sauna oven keeps the air warm during cold seasons. It is available with Duo, magnesium, or quartz heaters, customizable along with the size.
