This spa is the extension of a residence in the forests of Chaumont in Belgium, which included a sauna and a steam bath by the Belgian wellness manufacturer Alpha Wellness Sensations.
The space is ruled by an open central vestibule that connects guests to the main components of the spa: the sauna, the steam room, and the pool. This vestibule’s walls and floor are covered in tiles of light grays and beige tones, lightened by stripes that stretch along the corners of the white ceiling and the walls. At the back of the room, the Alpha Wellness Sensations Chaleur sauna serves as background with its LED RGB lighting behind a rear salt stone wall, visible through its safety glass front wall. On the side, a curving wall conceals the access to the pool, which is entered from underwater, as the pool’s surface level is above the ceiling of the spa.

A round side window within the sauna offers an underwater illusion as it shows the inside of the pool. This window’s sill, as the interior and the benches of the sauna, are made of cedar. The sauna also has a Solfog salt evaporator and an aroma pump with three different scents. Across from the sauna is where the access to the pool is most visible, with its underwater lighting and its finish in gray mosaics that contrast with the marbled tiles of the room.

Opposite the pool are two shower heads and on the narrow hallway past the cave-like pool entry, the steam room is concealed behind a frosted Alpha Luxury glass door. The Chaleur steam room is covered top to bottom with “Zen Oak Ezarri” mosaic tiles in a dark shade on top of its EPS finish. It is heated with a steam generator of 12 kW and is illuminated by indirect LED strips behind the seams of the benches. More RGB LED spots integrate into the curved ceiling, and an aroma pump and a cooling hose at the back wall complete its program. The framings and handles of the sauna and the steam room are finished in black aluminum.
The Chaleur sauna and the Chaleur steam room were designed by Alpha Wellness Sensations and customized by their branch Alpha Design.
