Overhead Doors for the Eemsdelta College | Rolflex

Rolflex specializes in manufacturing made-to-measure Compact folding doors. Overhead doors from Rolflex were used in the new VO Eemsdelta campus, located in Appingedam, Netherlands.

VO Eemsdelta is an educational village with three secondary schools. Active since the school year 2022-2023, this project spanned over 4 years and has been used by both students and teachers. The building was designed by de Unie Architects and has a floor area of almost 17,000 m2.

The campus features a technical building equipped with workshops and technical rooms, not only serving the students but also open for access by residents.

The technology building utilizes Compact overhead doors. While one door functions as a flexible partition between the corridor and the technical room, the other doors serve to seal off the premises from the outdoors. All three doors are Full Vision doors, designed to enable sufficient daylight inside while offering a modern look.

The architect's choice of Compact overhead doors for the building was due to their space-saving nature and the absence of ceiling rails, enabling easy concealment when not in use
