Outdoor Bamboo Cladding Solutions for the Roofs | MOSO® Bamboo

MOSO^® Bamboo supplies a range of sustainable bamboo products for both interior and exterior architecture. MOSO^®Bamboo X-treme^® decking and cladding were used in The Roofs, two residential towers 120 and 100 meters high, located in The Hague. In an area where every square meter has to be used smartly, MVRDV designed two apartment buildings with a total floor area of 61,800 m² and 655 apartments.

By staggering the tops of the towers asymmetrically on the upper levels, the characteristic landscape of stacked decks is created, with more decks on the south side than on the north side. A change in color and material gives the crowns an extra accent. MOSO^® Bamboo X-treme^® was applied as decking and cladding. Besides the contrasting brown color tone, this product offers the durability and natural look that the architect was aiming for.
