Characteristics
Variety of patterns, customizable, different support types, high definition printing, lightweight, flexible panel option for curved elements
The Le Grand Hôtel des Thermes in Saint-Malo France used decorative panels from Tecnografica in the new renovation. Designed by studio Yana K, the newly renovated hotel particularly changed the reception area and restaurant 'Le Cap Horn'. The decorative panels chosen by the Yana K Studio are all in the Smart Panel Glossy finish, the large, ultra-thin, ultra-light, and flexible polycarbonate support.
Reception
The studio drew inspiration from Art Deco and Art Nouveau for the reception interiors, incorporating niches, arches, and curved lines into the design. The rounded shapes were paired with precious materials including the original pink marble floor, oak, black metal, and linen textiles. Three decorative panels from Tecnografica with the "Giant Agate" graphic were incorporated into the area.
Restaurant
The restaurant's renovation took inspiration from its name and location, Brittany, and incorporated various elements evocative of the beach, emerald sea, and the wind. To capture the essence of the sea and complement the restaurant's aesthetic, two decorative panels featuring the "Maui Blue" graphic were carefully chosen. One of the panels was installed from floor to ceiling using a lightweight metal structure, while the second panel was framed to resemble a hanging artwork on the wall. These panels echoed the colors of the sea and added a distinct touch to the restaurant's ambiance.
