Smart Film in Sharp/Nec Office | SONTE

SONTE has been refining interiors with its smart film since 2014. Its willingness to search for practical solutions has led the company to nearly 900 successful projects for over 400 satisfied customers, installing over 14.000 m² of its products. SONTE Smart Film was used in the 6 m² inspiration hub of the Sharp/Nec office, located in Warsaw, Poland.

In addition to ensuring privacy, SONTE Smart Film also allows Sharp/Nec to display advertisements on a glass surface thanks to the rear projection function.

The SONTE Smart Film functionality is possible due to dispersed liquid crystals located between two PET films, which, after being charged with electric current, are rearranged causing the film to become transparent. The lack of voltage from the power supply causes a random arrangement of dispersed liquid crystals and results in a milky-white appearance.
