House Design
The design of the house aimed to maximize the use of the limited Northern light. Situated in the suburbs of Stockholm, the property itself offered open water and big skies. Architecturally the house made use of cantilevers, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and reflective pools.
With architectural experience in the hospitality sector, Benjamin easily decided on the design and how the house would function. The palatial home maximizes on views and includes a private dock and helipad that sits over the endless water. The form includes clean, crisp lines which are translated into the interior.
Kitchen Design
The kitchen acted as an important element within the design of space and experience, acting as "the center of gravity of the whole house design." The layout directs one toward the kitchen which has a direct view of the water. The kitchen finishes mix warm textures and colors of walnut and granite.
Appliances from Gaggenau's 400 Series were selected to compliment the interior aesthetically while offering a variety of functionalities and assistance. Two wine climate cabinets sit on either side of the combi-steam oven, Combi-Microwave, coffee machine, vacuum, and warming drawers, finished in Gaggenau Anthracite. This is complemented by the full surface induction cooktop and hidden glass Table Ventilation embedded within the 3-meter granite island. a Gaggenau 400 Series refrigerator and freezer is installed within the 3-meter tall walnut panels, creating a cooling wall with seamless integration.
