Solar facades from SolarLab invisibly integrate on-site energy production in the skin of the building and replaces both traditional facade cladding and unattractive rooftop PV installations. The custom-designed solar facades offer design freedom to select panelisation and mounting geometry as well as color, finish, and texture.
In the center of Oslo, the Ruseløkka Schools' classic brick facade is complemented by a shingled solar cladding solution consisting of individually tilted panels to create visual depth and texture. The unitized cladding allowed for fast installation and thanks to the shingled form factor will compensate for build tolerances. The matt finish and nano-coating ensure a low-maintenance and durable facade that will remain beautiful and produce carbon-free electricity for many years. This facade will provide carbon-free electricity for the next 60 to 100 years. The ratio of active façade/passive façade is: 296m2/28m2.
Using mono-crystalline PERC cells, tempered low-iron glass, and seaworthy aluminium SolarLab manufactures the facades in Denmark using sustainable energy from wind and hydropower, to ensure a low environmental footprint and dependability. The nano-coating used to produce a color does not fade and can be specified in a range of maintenance-free iridescent colors or uniform flat colors.
SolarLab works with local installers around the world to deliver complete solutions including custom panels, mounting and electrical design, along with high-quality electrical and monitoring systems. The unitised and modular system ensures rapid and error-free installation without lifting assistance.
