Click-on Battens in The Workshop | Sculptform

Located in Pyrmont in Sydney, Australia, The Workshop is a campus-style business hub designed by Bates Smart. Timber Click-On Battens and Tongue & Groove Cladding from Sculptform have been used throughout the building as a ceiling cladding to bring a sense of warmth to the corporate environment. The Workshop contains 19,000 square meters of office space, seven boutique offices, and substantial onsite amenities including retail outlets, childcare, a gym (with bike storage and infrared sauna), a café, and a restaurant.

The full-height atrium is the heart of the building. It features oversized hanging planters and hosts active circulation spaces to encourage a workplace culture of collaboration and communication. Timber has many physiological and psychological benefits which mimic the effects of spending time in nature, making it a smart choice for inclusion in workplaces. Integrating plants and using natural materials like timber can have a drastic impact on the productivity of workers.
