Jonas Wagell’s quirky yet utterly practical Peek Series for MENU began with a floor lamp, created to accompany a sofa he designed. Finding that floor lamps are often big and dominant, Jonas designed an antidote to overbearing lamps; he conceived his new lamp to literally “peek” over a sofa or armchair.

Peek Floor Lamp is simplistic, humble, and somewhat quirky in its form. Made up of only three components, the lamp has a heavy base with a long slender stem and a shade that gracefully peeks over the back of a sofa or armchair. The base comes with a concave feature creating a small storage space for the essential stationery, jewellery and other small items. The tip of the stem, as well as being a design feature, also doubles up as a functional dimmer.
