Poles - Bamboo Natural Green | Caneplex Design

The appearance of bamboo is as diverse as its wide range of species. Green bamboo is a particular branch of bamboo, whose rapid growth and wood-like nature make it equally ideal for design and construction projects. Caneplex Design natural green bamboo poles are 250 to 600 cms high and 1.5 to 16 cms thick, to suit both constructive and decorative applications. Before installation, it is important to consider that the diameter and color of each pole may slightly vary, preserving its natural look.

Material Sourcing

Caneplex Design natural materials are a product of selective cultivation and specific harvest time, which have been physically dried, heat-treated and disinfected before and after insertion, and their colour is completely natural, resulting in hue variation. For each one of them, the quality control is carried out by local partners while being subjected to phytopathological inspection before and during import.

Bamboo Maintenance

Vertical cracks can occur in bamboo poles. Just like wood, bamboo expands or shrinks when temperature or humidity conditions change. Cracks, however, have no effect on the durability of a bamboo fence. An important factor in maintaining bamboo products over time is the right placement and support. The connection-weaving is external or internal. Caneplex uses galvanised wire - stainless steel - laminated galvanised-black, depending on the kind.

It is advisable to use a wood preservative (fungicide) and water-soluble (preferably) wood varnish, colourless or in close tint, initially and at regular intervals of 2-3 years. That way the material is protected from fungus, the colour does not fade straight away, it is infused and preserved beyond the anticipated time.
