The Wells Hall Michigan State University design is a complex 3-story vertical extension to the existing building, adding new classrooms, break-out areas, flexible "learn-lab" instructional spaces, and open faculty offices.
The Draper products used in the Wells Hall addition of Michigan State University are motorized FlexShade® roller shades automated by SolarFlex and the Draper Digital Network system. With SolarFlex and the DDN, shades are automatically positioned according to the location of the sun. The shades feature custom color shade fabrics by Phifer.
Wells Hall is designed to meet LEED standards for energy efficiency.

24V DC MOTORIZED FLEXSHADE®
A low-voltage motorized solution, the 24V DC FlexShade® window shade reduces wiring costs and fits small spaces. This motorized shade is available in 24V RTS, 24V dry contact, and 24V 485 platform technologies. The 24V RTS motor features wireless RTS control and is easily programmable. For large commercial buildings, the 24V 485 motor provides the scalability to fit the needs and budget of a project. The 24V dry contact provides a simple relay control for low-voltage shades making it ideal for home theaters.
