More about this product

  • Architect: Hacker Architects, Portland, Oregon

The new Renton Highlands Library was designed as a sustainable building with the expectation to meet the energy-performance requirements of Architecture 2030. The building makes use of local and recycled materials, sunshades allowing natural light while reducing heat gain, daylight sensors, and skylights to ensure even daylighting throughout the space

The new Renton Highlands Library features a main reading room, children's area, community meeting room, lounge areas, and underground parking.

The windows and façades of this project feature Draper Exterior Motorized Venetian Blinds. These exterior shading solutions reduce solar heat gain more efficiently than interior treatments by stopping sunlight before it reaches the glazing, while the motorized Venetian blinds provide pinpoint glare control with motorized tilting of the louvers.

Exterior Motorized Venetian Blinds

undefined

The Draper Venetian Blinds by Warema shading system creates just the right amount of daylight by preventing glare thanks to the system’s ability to retract, extend, or tilt the slats. Exterior and dual facade applications provide effective solar control and thermal comfort with optimal daylighting. They can be used for new buildings or renovations, and are appropriate for commercial, institutional, retail, and residential applications. There is a wide variety of options available to fit the needs of your specific project.
