Flou is an Italian manufacturer of furniture and bedroom systems recognized for combining craftsmanship with contemporary design. The company presents Gaudí, an upholstered sofa that extends the design language of the Gaudí bed collection through a sculptural solid wood frame and soft upholstered seating. Designed by Matteo Nunziati, the sofa combines curved timber construction with removable upholstery to create a seating system suited to both residential and hospitality interiors.
Gaudí is defined by a continuous solid wood structure that begins at the feet and extends through the armrests and backrest, creating a sinuous frame that supports the upholstered cushions. The natural curves of the wood establish the character of the sofa, while the soft upholstery creates a visual contrast between structure and comfort. The collection develops the design concept introduced with the Gaudí bed, translating its sculptural timber frame into upholstered seating.
Materials & Finishes
The frame is available in natural, coffee-stained, and black-stained ash, as well as natural and coffee-stained iroko. The upholstery is offered in a selection of removable fabric or leather covers, allowing the sofa to be adapted to a variety of interior settings. An outdoor version is also available for sheltered exterior spaces, featuring an iroko frame and upholstery designed for outdoor use.
Configurations
Gaudí is available in two sizes: a larger sofa for residential living spaces and a more compact version suited to hospitality environments such as hotel lounges and reception areas. The combination of sculptural woodworking, removable upholstery, and multiple finish options allows the sofa to accommodate a range of residential and commercial applications while maintaining the distinctive architectural character of the Gaudí collection.
