Walking Week 2021 celebrates walking and green spaces in cities

The second edition of Heimtextil Colombia arrives at an opportune moment: Latin America is solidifying its position as the region with the greatest growth potential in this category.

From April 8 to 10, 2025, Medellín will once again be the industry's epicenter with the second edition of Heimtextil Colombia, the most important home textile and interior design trade fair in the Americas. Over three consecutive days, more than 4,000 manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, and interior design enthusiasts from over 30 countries will connect and generate new business opportunities, cementing Colombia as a key player in the Latin American supply chain for the 'Home' category.

The MArch Valencia Postgraduate School offers a unique educational proposal, featuring three postgraduate programs and two master's degrees designed to effectively connect academic knowledge with professional experience. Its teaching methodology is based on a practical approach and collaboration with renowned professionals and architecture and design studios, providing students with the necessary tools to excel in a highly competitive job market.

The Museu do Pontal is hosting an online debate series titled "The New Museu do Pontal – Partnerships and Inspirations," beginning August 5, 2021, at 5:00 PM. This event kicks off the programming leading up to the inauguration of the museum's new headquarters in Barra da Tijuca, the date of which will be announced during the session. The seminar will be held biweekly. This book examines Rio de Janeiro as an unequal city, addressing its relationship with the chronic problem of socio-spatial segregation. From this starting point, it explores the concept of "city supply," seeking to distinguish itself from approaches informed by the urban standards of the formal city. Urban infrastructure projects have historically been conceived according to a strictly utilitarian, monofunctional logic, with little integration into the urban and social contexts in which they are implemented. By mapping instances of informal appropriation of designed infrastructure within the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area, the work identifies and constructs a series of alternative spatial and functional categories capable of contributing to the planning of a more hybrid, resilient, and inclusive city. The publication is divided into an initial theoretical section, followed by an extensive collection of case studies referred to as the "body of evidence." This section presents instances of the observed informalities, alongside critical essays.

This book serves as a guide to Brutalist architectural production in Pernambuco, enriched with texts, photographs, and design materials that provide a foundation for understanding various works. The book is organized into chapters that present themes and typologies related to Pernambuco's Brutalist heritage in a didactic and chronological manner.

Território Liberdade Workshop - Erasures and Migrations

Registration is now open for the Território Liberdade workshop, a research-based activity organized by the cultural association Goma Oficina, taking place in downtown São Paulo throughout April and May 2025. The workshop will introduce a methodology for engaging with the Liberdade neighborhood and its surroundings, exploring the intersections of photography, cartography, and the historical erasures caused by structural racism.

Galeria Contempo Debuts at SP-Arte

This work is designed to provide educators with didactic strategies applied in the first design studio of an architecture program: Architecture Studio 1 (PA 1).

The São Paulo State Government, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, presents the exhibition “Artacho Jurado in the City’s Design” at the Galeria da Cidade. The exhibition, which focuses on the self-taught architect who designed and built landmarks of modern São Paulo such as the Bretagne, Cinderela, and Louvre buildings, opens to the public on Saturday, September 4—the date marking the 114th anniversary of his birth.
