We are pleased to announce the International Seminar "Urbanism 25 Years: Paths and Perspectives," commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Graduate Program in Urbanism (PROURB) at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a program of excellence in the field of Architecture and Urbanism.

The second talk of the "Architecture and Resilience: Materiality from a New Reality" series, organized by COMA Education and LCD Academy and sponsored by Cintac, will take place on Thursday, August 6, at 6:30 PM.

The goal of the competition is to design a one- or two-story prototype that acts as a sculptural element within its environment. It should be adaptable to beaches, parks, and plazas, serving as a landmark and safety point for tourists in major cities worldwide, while adding value to both natural and urban settings.

Registration is now open for the ‘Ir e Vir’ ideas competition, a contest for architecture students across Brazil that aims to investigate the impact of the pandemic on our collective imagination and its repercussions on the practice of the contemporary city through architectural projects.

The Oscar Niemeyer Award for Latin American Architecture, or ON Award, was established as an initiative of the Latin American Architecture Biennials Network (REDBAAL), founded in Quito through a constitutive act signed on November 23, 2012, during the XVIII Pan-American Architecture Biennial of Quito (BAQ 2012).

Pucará Traveling Bull
The Consulate General of Peru in Rio de Janeiro, the Instituto Cervantes of Rio de Janeiro, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru present the exhibition Toro itinerante de Pucará (Pucará Traveling Bull), a showcase featuring the finest ceramic works of the “Toro de Pucará.” This mythical figure, which represents southern Peru and is recognized as a national cultural heritage, has been touring the world since 2021, visiting all five continents. This collaboration between the Instituto Cervantes of Rio de Janeiro and the Consulate General of Peru in Rio de Janeiro further demonstrates the strong relationship of friendship and cooperation between the Institute and the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its embassies and consulates abroad.

The Municipality of Nono, with the support of educational institutions and civil society organizations backing the initiative, is seeking innovative projects to develop a park within the nature reserve encompassing the Los Nonos, La Juntura, and Perilago areas.
