The shelter serving as a humanitarian respite center in downtown McAllen, Texas, was created to respond to the needs of families in crisis. Through its services and the selfless work of volunteers, the shelter has helped countless people in need regain their dignity, particularly Central American immigrants seeking refuge after crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.

Bodegas Solar de Samaniego has launched the international ideas competition "Solar de Samaniego, Integrated Landscape," which aims to integrate the winery into the natural and cultural landscape of Rioja Alavesa and continue the work of preserving its historical legacy and winemaking heritage.
