The Oscar Niemeyer Award for Latin American Architecture, or ON Award, was established as an initiative of the Latin American Architecture Biennials Network (REDBAAL), founded in Quito through a constitutive act signed on November 23, 2012, during the XVIII Pan-American Architecture Biennial of Quito (BAQ 2012).
Today, architecture is a cultural phenomenon. As such, it increasingly participates in the activities of a globalized world. Consequently, our scope of action as architecture professionals is expanding and spreading through media, enabling regional, continental, and global integration.
