National Academy of Architecture, Monterrey Chapter presents the "Ninth Metropolitan Forum: City Month"

As it does every year, the National Academy of Architecture, Monterrey Chapter, hosts a forum to address urbanism and city-related topics. This year marks the ninth edition, themed "The City in Transformation: New Contexts in Architecture and Urbanism."

Conjuntos Empáticos is a non-profit association founded in 2012 with various objectives, including: disseminating work developed in the fields of architecture, art, and pedagogy; stimulating the development of these areas of knowledge; encouraging citizen participation in architecture across all scales, from the domestic to the infrastructural; executing installations, site-conditioning projects, renovation processes, and educational initiatives; promoting the revitalization of contested spaces; incentivizing research; sharing knowledge in architecture, art, education, and new technologies; and promoting best practices in these fields.

Federico E. Mariscal Extraordinary Chair 2021

Established in 1984 by the Graduate Studies Division of the Faculty of Architecture, the Federico E. Mariscal Extraordinary Chair is awarded to architecture professionals in Mexico in recognition of their outstanding high-level performance in the field. It is not required for the recipient to be an active faculty member at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). This recognition is granted by the Technical Council of the Faculty of Architecture.

LIGA 34 Opening: Tezontle

Tezontle, formed by Lucas Cantú and Carlos H. Matos, presents an intervention at LIGA that highlights their recent work: Sinseñalismo (No-Signalism). This project investigates the concepts of digital disconnection and deceleration, aiming to uncover the relationships between these ideas within architecture and art. Through this experience, they promote and demonstrate a reconnection with the elemental essence of humanity.

Juvenal Baracco: The Memory of the City, the Forms of Tradition. The Peruvian Air Force Officers' School

This research originated within the Scuola di Dottorato Iuav, following the interests established by the Architectural Composition curriculum by interpreting the work through the lenses of innovation, tradition, and reconstruction. The study examines the work of Peruvian architect Juvenal Baracco, specifically his project for the Peruvian Air Force Officers' School (1981–1984) in Lima, by deconstructing the architectural elements and analyzing their specific characteristics in depth.
