AD Round Up: Offices Part VI

Even in our 6th selection, we still have many amazing office projects from 2009 to share with you. Check them all after the break.

SGAE Central Office in Santiago de Compostela / Ensamble Studio Spanish architects Ensamble Studio shared with us their building for the SGAE Offices in Spain (the equivalent to the RIAA in the USA). Once again, Ensamble Studio shows us an impressive use of mass, using stacked stone slabs to create an intermediate space with filtered light. Rectorate Office Building / Hauvette & Associés The project is designed around a rehabilitated 1980s building whose white external walls had been entirely repainted. Organized around a patio, the main building containing the new rectorate is a rectangular object surrounding the rehabilitated building. Authentic Studios / Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects The brief for this Tenant Improvement called for an innovative approach to renovating an existing warehouse space with limited opportunities for natural light along the perimeter walls and within a very limited budget. LOHA uncovered and re-used existing roof openings that had been closed off as well as introduced new oversized light wells to maximize natural daylight (read more…)

Office building in Barcelona / Map Architect, Josep Lluis Mateo In the Cornellà Business Park, promoted by the World Trade Centre, we must propose architectural alternatives based on the functional logic already tested and experienced by the ownership, concerning the planned urban concepts. Home_Office / superkül inc Home / Office is a live-work building at the triangular intersection of Roncesvalles and Dundas Street West, in a modest strip of mixed-use buildings that edge High Park and Parkdale.
