Camposaz Lisbon 12:12

CAMPOSAZ LISBOA 12:12 is a design workshop and wooden self-construction at 1:1.

This new edition of Camposaz will take place from 15.09.17 to 24.09.17 in Bairro da Liberdade de Lisboa, a small neighborhood that sees its first home only from the twentieth century. Located at the foot of the aqueduct of the Free Waters and Monsanto Forest.

Camposaz consists in a free workshop aiming at designing and self-building architectural objects for landscape enhancement. It is targeted to 12 young architects and designers, selected by Camposaz collective, for the purpose of gathering in a temporary group the processes of design and self-construction.

During the Camposaz week, the participants will ideate and create wood Installations, following the thematic suggestions provided by the organizers and developing eco-friendly, practical and sustainable designs based on the relationship with the landscape and its inhabitants.

The workshop is part of the "Reviver o Bairro" program, a community project promoted by the Junta de Freguesia of Campolide and the ADM Estrela Association, in partnership with several local organizations. The theme for the Camposaz Lisbon is the regeneration of the old market now in abandoned condition: four terraces that once housed the market, today expect new functions that will give them a new life transforming them into social aggregation spaces.
