UNStudio to Lecture at LACMA

In collaboration with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Cal Poly LA Metro Program in Architecture and Urban Design, Caroline Bos, co-founder and Principal Urban Planner of UNStudio (www.unstudio.com), will speak about recent architectural, infrastructural and masterplan projects carried out by UNStudio. She will also introduce UNStudio’s Urban Unit and the approach to knowledge sharing recently adopted by the practice to enable the development, application and dissemination of practice related research.

Bos studied Art History at Birkbeck College of the University of London and Urban and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Geosciences, University of Utrecht. In 1988 she co-founded Van Berkel & Bos Architectuurbureau with architect Ben van Berkel. In 1998 she co-founded UNStudio (United Net), a network of specialists in architecture, urban development, and infrastructure with offices in Amsterdam, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Bos was awarded an Honorary Professorship at the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning in 2012.
