
One of the most prominent architectural event in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Days of Architecture, which takes place May 10-13, includes different lectures held by local and international architects, exhibitions, movie screenings etc. The topic for Days of Architecture 2012 -City(and)conscience, aims at questioning the cities of today, not only by the experts, but the broader audience too. “Urban Farmers”, “Informal Cities”, “Social sustainability”, “Green City and mobility” are some of the topics to be discussed by architects from different parts of the world, while presenting contemporary processes, projects and approaches in practice. The annual event has been organized for four consecutive years, with over 30 different lecturers from 11 countries, followed by exhibitions and movie screenings. The first Days of Architecture was organized in 2008 by a group of students, wishing to get to know the experience of local architects working in architectural practice. In 2009, Days of Architecture hosted lecturers from other schools, related to architecture, who spoke about the connection between architecture and artistic practices. In 2010, the guest lecturers were architects and critics from Croatia, who presented their projects and experiences, many of which have received worldwide recognition. In 2011, various views on architecture were presented by Bosnian-Herzegovinian architects, who had built their career in foreign countries, as well as a few foreign architects.
