Springtime: Emerging Architecture in Chile

Marcelo Sarovic and Jeannette Plaut from Constructo present the new book "Springtime: Emergent Architecture in Chile". This book showcases 50 works of contemporary Chilean architecture from diverse programs, territories, and material situations. Among these projects, we can find architects such as Azócar Catrón, Max Nuñez, Iván Bravo, Beals Lyon, Felipe Alarcón, Urzua Soler, among others.

The first part of the book offers a visual chronicle through extensive photographs. In the second part, there is content that autonomously complements the cases with technical sheets and graphic material, all from a perspective that allows for visual comparison.

In the selected cases, there are common visions that revolve around pavilions and architectural objects - especially related to the YAP and YAF CONSTRUCTO programs - wood and wood 2.0 -, public-scale programs and urban sites -such as the Panguipulli Theater or the Metro Plaza de Armas Building- and second homes - as an entry to new architecture.
