Heartland Community Church / 360 Architecture

Architect: 360 Architecture
Location: Olathe, Kansas, United States
Project Year: 2009
Photographs: 360 Architecture
360 Architecture accepted a big challenge when they took on a project transforming a big box store for Heartland Community Church. The church sought a nontraditional worship space, and 360 Architecture revamped the former furniture store into a space representative of the contemporary church and its mission.
Architecture City Guide: Kansas City
This week our Architecture City Guide is headed Kansas City. With more boulevards than any other city except Paris, Kansas City is commonly called “Paris of the Plains.” Although its architecture might not rival Paris, there is plenty of great architecture, and as always it was difficult to keep our list to only 12 designs. Kansas City is also the headquarters of this year’s AIA National Firm Award, BNIM. Take a look at the list and add to it in the comment section below.

Architecture City Guide: Miami
This week we are taking our Architecture City Guide to South Beach. Miami’s architectural styles range from austere corporate architecture, as it has the largest concentration of international banks in the United States, to colorful and playful architecture that reflects its beach and Latin American culture. Architecture lovers can’t miss Miami Beach’s Art Deco District or its old Spanish heritage. We have put together a list of 12 contemporary buildings that range from a small park pavilion to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. There is plenty more to see in Miami so please add your “must not miss” in the comment section below.
