An important aspect of the principles of urban ecology concerns mobility and energy conservation. The mixed/mixed use reduces the need to travel, fulfilling the function of generator and manager of its own social and economic behavior. The behavior of a small centrality, generating new jobs, housing offer, leisure, tourism and retail, distributed in buildings that will replace what was already an old mine.

The user / occupant can work, study, shop, go to movies, sightseeing, go to the doctor, go to the gym, walking through a fantastic park, on foot or by bike. Thus, the impact, so worrying in large enterprises, is minimized. Another aspect that needs to be highlighted is the recovery of the social living. The idea of integrating the local community, encourages exchange, and at the same time meets the needs of the resident and users of services in the city.
