Trends Report: Recycling Spaces

Certain topics in ArchDaily become a trend when our users begin to search for the same information or show more interest in one topic in relation to others. Architecture and Construction Industry started to worry about issues as important as recycling and environmental awareness, that is why there has been a considerable increase in the searches of the concepts related to this topic.

Recycling (+ 145% YoY) and Ecological Awareness (+ 103% YoY) have not been absent in the debate around one of the industries that generates the greatest carbon footprint in the planet: Construction.

Faced with this concern, some architects have seen the response in the development of systems of Reuse (+ 82% YoY) and Rehabilitation (+ 68% YoY) of spaces.

Another issue that has been studied in accordance with this new trend, in order to improve efficiency and coexistence with the environment is the design of Adaptive Re-Use Projects (+ 154% YoY) and the creation of Sustainable Cities (+165) % YoY) that stop growing (Degrowth + 280%).
