The complex is located in the heart of Ljubljana, between the park and main Ljubljana pedestrian commercial street.

The program is a mixture of boutique shops, caffe and residences. The street and the park will be connected with a public passage that perforates the building. Since the street and the park are in different levels the buidling has two ground fl oors that are connected with a passage. Lower 4 floors are shops connected with a mall. Top three floors are reserve for apartments and partly also inside existing historical atrium. The building is formed in terraces between low rise historical line in the park towards recent extension of the Post office on the border of the plot. Teraces offer beautiful views towards the old city and the castle. Lower large terrace plateau is formed as open air caffee, higher terraces are designed as apartments. Teraces have greef fence pillow; organic layered metal mesh with implanted greenery inside.

Like the fashion also the building is changing through the season: fall winter appearance is covered in silver and sometimes covered in snow. On the other hand spring summer appearance is green and sometimes in flowers.

Project will go on site in 2011.

  1. Thumb up Thumb down 0

Wasn’t it possible to connect the Chopova Street with the park, without needing to enter and exit the buliding (and take the stairs)?
The idea is to continue the corridor from AGRFT towards park Zvezda, a connection wich could be opened in a later stage.

haha – ‘greef pillows’. That seems a strangely appropriate statement given that they’re more likely to give grief to the building than green.

  3. Thumb up Thumb down 0

Very good solution. I will be glad to see it in real instead on present site ruin

  4. Thumb up Thumb down 0

me too (in general), but this below required standard. conceptually naive and aesthetically so last season.

  5. Thumb up Thumb down 0

Very well done. How can I make this type of picture? Do you know in which program has it been created?

  6. Thumb up Thumb down 0

The renderings are ok but the appearance of the building on the 3D look really “used” in the capitalistic way, But after reading the idea and trying to imagine it in reality, i must say i’m excited about it. Again, real good job OFIS!
