The outlook for the DLRG guard on duty is located on the upper floor where a generously wide bay window allows to overlook the lake in its entirety and co-ordinate the emergency services quickly.

The lifeboat station is constructed in timber frame construction method. It is orientated to face the lake exclusively. The glass façade at ground floor, behind which the medical room and staff room are located, can be closed by wooden foldable sliding doors. These act as an additional security barrier against burglars and vandalism. It also provides visual protection and an intimate atmosphere for the people in care. It also acts as a beacon and sign whether or not the station is manned.
