Architecture photographer Michael Schnell shared with us his interior photos of the  Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, , designed by Austrian architects Delugan Meissl. The project was completed in 2008, after being awarded with the 1st prize in a 2-stage competition back in 2005.

The exhibition space we see on these photos in contained by a monolothic volume supported by a steel structure, which spans 5,600sqm to a dramatic effect as you can see on the above photo.

the interiors feel like your in a 24-chemist or a 7 eleven….so bright! the design reflects the type of client they have, and it seems the interior is a bit hit and miss….some good, some bad…..

Why go to all that effort with the geometry only to have a flat ceiling?

I like the tron-ish feeling it gives in some photos with the white space and black lines.

Very cool and dynamic… Just as Porsche car.
I actually like simplified ceiling, kinda futuristic look from retro sci-fi movies. I was in Munich last year at BMW Welt (BMW World) and liked it a lot.
But this project, at least from the photos, is better. I think there is a real style here, style of sport cars, fast tracks, style of speed… http://bit.ly/beKJWs Would you call it rock-n-roll style?

I hope it looks as good as the photos do when I get there. Looks like a very different experience.

I was in the museum mount ago, made pictures and put them to my blog… I surprised that I took exactly same view points… Very impressive building in general…

too much glitz and glam.. inside its boring.. a big advertisement.. the mercedez benz museum by un studio is much better, a true experiment in program and a great museum experience. This however is a great form i ll give it that but unlike a porsche has nothing under the bonnet\trunk.

I loved the detailing on the stairs… they looked amazing… the interior sort of gives the effect of those lovely photographs we see when a new car is released… those photos with the plain background that looks so cool that many people save as their desktop background…. I don’t know if its excellent photographing skills or the building actually does that but the picture with the rear of the orange porsche to the right and the steps to the left with the arrow indicating the museum direction at the middle is a perfect example of what I am trying to say.

Amazing architecture, also for the car display. Nothing better than being drifted from floor level to another.Perfect as always expected from Porsche !
