I really want this book, but it doesn’t seem to have a release date.
Maybe, they are trying to get the numbers in first before they print. If that is really so, it would be such a devious practice.
Market your book with a copy from Lulu or some weird self-publishing companies.
Take preorders and get initial sales numbers.
Once it hits a reasonable number like 2,000-5,000 then start printing.
I do not know for sure if SAA or WAC (sounds like WACK) is doing this but it sure seems like it. Preorder sales number might give them a better idea of total expected sales and reduce the likelihood of ending up with thousands of copies stuck in the warehouse.
Norman Foster 5 was out on Amazon I think for more than nine months. What kind of a strange publishing company is Prestel! I cannot help but think that publisher might take preorders before the first printing. Why else? Why would you make your readers wait for close to one year?

i’m glad this book is re-released. if they take preorders they can’t legitimately not print it
OK. I didn’t know that it was a reprint.
“…[with] pre-orders [...], manufacturers can gauge how much demand there will be and hence how large initial production runs should be….”
This could be a reason for not having a release date yet.
