A couple of days ago we featured Zaha Hadid’s Burham Pavilion at the Millenium Park in Chicago. Some of you asked about the UN Studio pavilion, and I got Guillermo Hevia to share with us a very good set of photos of the project.

If you want to know more about this pavilion’s background read our previous article.

More photos after the break.

it’s a temporary pavilion. it frames views of the park, the sky and buildings. it’s a place to rest, walk through and explore.

It reminds me the structures for the flowers sellers of Mar del Plata´s (Argentina) “Cementerio Parque” by Horacio Baliero of 1961.

ja gatz pero n menor escala.
this pavilion is crazy, surrealist. It seems like the roof would be floating and melted in the centre. What`s the material of the structure?, its awsome the game of lights

I went and saw it, it was pretty cool-looking, but didn’t really show that it had a purpose. Also, it was very dirty from people walking all over it…

similar affect, however it utilizes a completely different structural system, not to mention building type. i find this to be the more successful of the two.

Good from Far but Far from Good. Craftsmanship is lacking when you get up close to the piece.

I can feel the power of Architecture. Like a magnet it pulls in people from from every directions. And people are rushing to the pavilion knowing that there is nothing but people under the roof.
We gotta get together under a same roof.
