In this workshop we will explore together the urbanist concept of the ‘15-Minute City’ alongside London-based architectural group Archigram’s ‘Instant Cities’. You will be invited to explore the surrounding hidden gems of modernist architecture in Notting Hill. Participants will record, document, and represent their surroundings through a range of techniques and materials, such as: collage, photography, rubbings and drawing.

Designer and historian David Gissen discusses themes from his recent book re-examining architectural history through the lens of disability.
By re-contextualizing the history of architecture through the discourse of disability, David Gissen’s 2023 book The Architecture of Disability: Buildings, Cities, and Landscapes beyond Access challenges current modes of architectural practice, theory and education by proposing architecture that fully integrates disabled persons into its production. Both the author and book look beyond traditional notions of accessibility and show how certain incapacities can help to positively reimagine the roots of architecture. A Q&A session will follow Gissen’s presentation.

Days of Architecture are the biggest architectural festival in Bosnia&Herzegovina, and one of the biggest in the region of South Eastern Europe. This year's festival marks 15th edition of the Days of Architecture and first one since it became biennale two years ago. The festival will take time in period of 15-22nd of September in Sarajevo, with curators Hubert Klumpner and Michael Walczak, and it will host many architects from Spain, UK, Norway, the Netherlands, Croatia, Montenegro, France, Germany, USA and Bosnia&Herzegovina. Besides lectures and presentations, the Days of Architecture will host many exhibitions, panels and gatherings of architects, designers and constructors. Very important aspect of this year's edition is the promotion of the first architectural guide of Sarajevo, published by Berlin-based DOM publishers.

Building upon the success of previous editions, we invite researchers, practitioners, scholars and innovators from various disciplines to contribute to the 2023 symposium, centered around the theme of "Collective Intelligence Design". Responsive Cities 2023 Symposium seeks to delve into the emerging paradigm of collective intelligence in the processes of city making. As cities continue to evolve in complexity and interconnectedness in the context of the climate emergency, embracing new forms of intelligence that go beyond human perspectives becomes the cornerstone for the future of urbanity. Collective Intelligence Design promotes an emerging collective intelligence paradigm that empowers the applications of co-creation, following generative processes of both the living and the machine. This post anthropocentric approach highlights a unique combination of crowd wisdom and artificial intelligence that, together with other forms of intelligences including animal, vegetable, or microbial, marks a significant milestone in the creation of our future green cities. By embracing new forms of intelligence in design, architecture and cities can transcend anthropocentric perspectives and cultivate a new ecological, technological but also cultural paradigm of inhabitation where inclusivity lies in its core. This shift recognizes that cities are alive and dynamic ecosystems interconnected with the natural world, while acknowledging the interdependencies among humans, non human, cultural and technological others.
