Architects, the 2018 State Meeting of Architects and Urban Planners (EEAU) is coming up. Organized by SASP, this year's event is themed "New Perspectives for the Practice of Architects and Urban Planners."

The Bio-Environmental Design Laboratory at the University of Flores (UFLO) invites you to the second free lecture of the ENVIRONMENT and CITY series, which aims to foster reflection and the exchange of perspectives on environmental issues within the urban context.

An architect dedicated to the visibility of women in our discipline, an architect working on the integration of technologies, an architect involved in research and dissemination, and an architect who integrates graphic and industrial design into their practice will be the guests for the second session of the project X FORMAS DE HACER ARQUITECTURA, taking place in the heart of Santiago next Thursday, September 27, at 7:00 PM at AriztiaLAB.

Known simply as XFORMAS, this is the latest session of the project led by Fabiola González and Yair Estay (TALLER25) alongside Nicolás Valencia (ArchDaily). "Today, architecture is an idealized profession, completely disconnected from the constant changes in society and the labor market," the organizers state. "Consequently, XFORMAS emerges as a space for discussion and for highlighting new ways of practicing architecture," they add.

Expo F 2018 is the International Construction Materials and Hardware Fair, organized by America Expo Group, which will hold its second edition at the ATLAPA Convention Center in Panama from September 20 to 22, 2018.

Barrio Italia has become an opportunity to propose projects that address architecture through a contextual lens, blurring the lines between technical, conceptual, and urban aspects while treating the physical environment as a foundation for the work. With this perspective in mind, the School of Architecture at Universidad Finis Terrae will host the Urban Traverse: “Barrio Italia: Contextual Architecture in a Gentrifying Neighborhood.” The tour will run from Caupolicán to Av. Condell, visiting sites such as Estación Italia and Maison Italia, and will be led by Camilo Oliva, an architect and professor at Universidad Finis Terrae.

The Docomomo São Paulo Chapter and the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo in São Carlos, continuing the activities developed in 2017, invite you to participate in the 6th Docomomo São Paulo Seminar, which will take place from September 24 to 26, 2018, in São Carlos.

The Latin American Symposium on Tensile Structures is the flagship event of the Latin American Tensile Structures Network (Tensored). This edition will be held at the "Ccoriwasi" Cultural Center of the Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru, on September 11, 12, and 13, 2018.

Archiprix International and Archiprix Chile are proud to announce the launch of their tenth edition. Following successful editions in Rotterdam (2001), Istanbul (2003), Glasgow (2005), Shanghai (2007), Montevideo (2009), Cambridge, USA (2011), Moscow (2013), Madrid (2015), and Ahmedabad (2017), Archiprix International will once again host a unique event showcasing the world's best graduation projects in architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture. Archiprix International 2019 will take place in Santiago, Chile, with the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Universidad de Chile serving as co-organizers.

The 1st "NEIGHBORHOOD AND CHILDHOOD" Forum is an initiative by the Coordinadora de la Ciudad (en Construcción), held within the framework of the Urban95 Program and the Fitekantropus Project. It aims to bring together various organizations, institutions, collectives, and individuals working with and for children to share visions, approaches, and methodologies; coordinate initiatives, proposals, and actions; and raise awareness among citizens and local governments regarding this issue.

Walking provides significant benefits to the city: it is not only a sustainable mode of transport, but it also brings vitality to public space and, as various studies have shown, improves the physical and mental health of its inhabitants. For these reasons, walking should be promoted through urban planning and design, as proposed by Chile's recent National Urban Development Policy (PNDU).

The "From Territory to Detail" seminar is a space for academic dialogue and reflection that brings together students, academics, and professionals in the field alongside renowned Latin American architects who share a common trait: balancing teaching activities with professional practice across diverse areas, ranging from editorial work to artistic experimentation.

The International Seminar "Innovative Management of Historic Neighborhoods – Restoration Factory" is an initiative by the Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Brazil (CAU/BR), in partnership with CAU/SP and the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at FAU-Mackenzie, with support from IAB/SP and CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, under the Ministry of Education).
