Under the theme 'Architecture as a Politics of Change,' the call for entries to select the curatorial team for the XVII Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism is now open.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda (MIVAU), in collaboration with the Higher Council of Architects' Associations of Spain and supported by the ARQUIA Foundation, has opened the selection process for the curatorship of the 17th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BEAU). The deadline for submitting proposals is March 3, 2025.

Contemporary phenomenological and scientific methods will be used to examine the relationship between the mind and materiality, as revealed in significant architectural experiences. Through this discussion and various examples, we will realize that, for the first time in history, we can begin to consider and concretely address the most important and timeless questions of architecture and, perhaps, of human existence. — Julio Bermudez"

2025 ADMISSIONS OPEN – Professional Master’s in Landscape Architecture (MPAP/FAU/UFRJ)

Focusing on landscape design and sustainability, the MPAP trains professionals capable of critically addressing contemporary environmental, territorial, and urban challenges.

Registration is open for the Sesc Architecture Competitions for the Galeria (formerly Mappin) and Mogi das Cruzes units.

The expansion of the Sesc network and the development of new facilities at Sesc Mogi das Cruzes have prompted a National Preliminary Architectural Design Competition. Promoted by the Social Service of Commerce (Sesc SP) and organized by the Institute of Architects of Brazil – São Paulo Department (IABsp), the competition aims to select the best architectural project submitted by architects and urban planners. The project involves the creation of a new "Park Unit" near the center of Mogi das Cruzes, on a flat site surrounded by natural areas and the São Paulo Green Belt, with views of the Serra do Itapeti.

Enter the Arquine Competition No. 27

Since 1998, Arquine has hosted an architecture competition that allows for the comparison of ideas and proposals on equal footing. As in recent editions, the Arquine No. 27 Competition invites participants to design, build, and activate a pavilion in Mexico City's Historic Center as part of the MEXTRÓPOLI Architecture and City Festival.

8th Félix Candela Award "Ehécatl"

The Félix Candela Award is a two-stage international architectural ideas competition conducted in Spanish. Arquine Competition No. 28 | MEXTRÓPOLI Pavilion 2026

Since 1998, Arquine has hosted an architecture competition that allows ideas and proposals to be compared on equal terms. As in previous editions, the Arquine Competition No. 28 invites participants to design, build, and activate a pavilion in the Historic Center of Mexico City as part of the MEXTRÓPOLI Architecture and City Festival. Entrants must design a piece that meets the conditions specified in the competition guidelines regarding timelines, costs, and specifications, while considering its ability to engage and attract the public—a fundamental aspect of the proposal's evaluation.
