Open House is an architecture and city festival that takes place one weekend a year in more than 40 cities around the world. For two days, the doors of dozens of public buildings, workspaces, residences, and artist and architect studios that are not usually accessible to the public are opened. It is a free event for the public that promotes knowledge of the city and recognition of the value of urban space. In Madrid, it is a project by the non-profit association Culture Care.
Oscar Bulnes Valero, an Emeritus Academic of this Chapter, is a renowned architect from Monterrey and is deeply devoted to this northeastern region. He is our next guest for Session 258, where he will present "In Search of a Fair, Orderly, and Habitable City..." Architect Bulnes possesses an impressive architectural legacy and deep knowledge of this metropolis. He will present his latest studies on the city of Monterrey and its metropolitan area, in which he identifies the issues currently ailing the city. Furthermore, he will share his proposals, which he believes can significantly help resolve the problems currently afflicting Monterrey and its metropolitan area.
The exhibition presents a sample of contemporary residential production through a selection of 12 houses built in the São Paulo metropolitan area, featuring works by the offices SPBR, MMBB, SIAA, Grupo SP, Longato Pirondi, Apiacás, Brasil Arquitetura, Andrade Morettin, UNA, Obra, Terra e Tuma, and Drucker Arquitetura.
